Testimonials from the Bhakti Sastri Graduates

For me Bhakti Sastri was an incredible journey – initially I was reluctant but as it started, I didn’t want it to end. I learnt something from every session, made me rethink and question what I have been doing all these years, there was lot of unlearning to be done. I really love Isopanishad and Upadesamrta for their practical instructions. I can now only say that I am trying to follow the teachings of the Lord in Bhagavad Gita. There are so many life lessons, truths about life and purpose of life that I learnt from the teachers. It has made a difference in the way I face situations and how I see people and also how I see myself. The fellow passengers – participants on the journey were so encouraging and helped each other in the journey

I used to give less importance to studying scriptures and more importance to services like cooking, deity ornament making etc. From HH Bhakti Vinod Swami Maharaj I learnt the importance of reading scriptures to do the services with proper understanding. HG Harilila prabhu would facilitate us to ask the same question a hundred times until we are clear. These wonderful teachers have helped me complete the course.

Bhakti Sastri has grounded my faith. Before Bhakti Sastri I had felt stuck or stunted without growth. I felt so dry and couldn’t feel the mercy. I actually stopped preaching wondering what to give others as I was not feeling inspired. But now I feel like the wheels of my KC vehicle have started rolling forward and I feel inspired to share Krishna consciousness with others to whatever level I am in.
The magic is that I could sense the beauty of Srila Prabhupad and his teachings. The depth of Srila Prabhupad’s words the honesty and sincerity in his writings become appreciable to my contaminated mind thanks to the mercy of the teachers and the association in the BS class. I am forever indebted. I pray to the Vaisnavas that they bless me I don’t again lose the mercy once more in life.
