The Bhaktivedanta Academy, Coimbatore
The Bhaktivedanta Academy is an initiative of ISKCON Coimbatore aimed at educating the general populace in the teachings of our ancient vedic texts as propagated by His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada, Founder Acharya of ISKCON.
The Bhaktivedanta Academy offers short, medium & long-term certificate courses that amalgamates vedic philosophy with its practical application and train the participants to integrate the same in their everyday life. The courses are tailored for people from all walks of life and are offered through Tri-Lingual media (English, Tamil, Malayalam). The Academy facilitates the learners to deeply imbibe the fundamental and advanced principles of spiritual life, bringing about positive internal transformations as well as helping the students to evoke favorable changes in others.
The courses are offered both in the online as well as offline modes with structured syllabi created to align with the learning curves of the participants at each level.
About Founder
His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada
His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada is the founder Acharya of ISKCON. He travelled to New York in 1965 at the age of 69, to spread the teachings of Lord Chaitanya. On 11th July 1966, he established the ISKCON or International Society for Krishna Consciousness formally. In the next 11 years, he circled the entire world around 14 times. He conveyed the teaching of Lord Krishna to countless people in 6 different continents. Srila Prabhupada—as he’s known to his followers—translated and commented on over eighty volumes of the Vedas’ most important sacred bhakti texts, including the Bhagavad-gita and the multi-volume Srimad-Bhagavatam—an encyclopedic account of Krishna’s many incarnations and devotees in the history of the universe.
